(For Such A Time As This)

Theme Verse:
Titus 2:11-12
For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, that we should live soberly, righteously and godly in this present age.

DAY 1…Truth vs. Deception
Characters brought back: Esther, Mordecai & Hayman

Operational Definition: Truthfulness is communicating by life and word that which is genuine and accurate. Those that are closest to Truth are closest to God.

Memory Verse: John 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except by Me." John 8:32 And you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free."

Scripture Bible Stories: Esther (Book of Esther) Ananias and Sapphira (Acts 5)

Some Profound statements regarding Truth: Truth is the foundation upon which anything that stands is built. We must speak the Truth in our hearts before we speak it with our mouths. Telling a lie is like pounding a nail in the wall of one’s character; telling the truth removes the nail, but leaves a mark.

DAY 2…Virtue vs. Weakness
Character brought back: Gideon

Operational Definition: Virtue is the power of a life that is in harmony with the holy standards of God. Virtue is the Godly influence of a life that is in a right relationship with God and filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. The Hebrew word for virtuous is: "chayil". This same word also translates: man of valor, valiant, strength, power, might, strong army, host, forces, riches, wealth.

Memory Verse: Colossians 1:10-11 "that you may have a walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy;"

Scripture Stories: Gideon (Judges 6-7) Lazarus (John 11:1-44)

Some Profound statements regarding Virtue: Virtue is like a lighthouse. The greater the storms and the darker the night, the more its power and brightness are valued.

The power of virtue is a great threat to Satan’s kingdom. Therefore, he will unleash his most attractive temptations in an attempt to destroy it. Those who lose their virtue will ridicule those who have it, because they feel ashamed in the presence of its power.
