Praise be to God for the work he does far bigger than me!

I received Jesus as my savior at the age of thirteen. My father first made his decision. By the end of the year each one in our family had decided to follow Christ.  I thank God for teaching me through His Word and many people in my life.

At the age of 29 I became good friends with a young woman who within a short year became not only my best friend, but also my wife; fulfilling one of the great desires I’d had since childhood. Followed by the blessings of 5 special children (so far), our family loves spending time together. We are blessed with the choice of home-schooling and we are called as a family to serve our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Looking back, I’m able to see the great desires, passion and vision God placed within me. But understanding those things have required God’s grace and mercy over the years. My heart’s call to ministry was confirmed one night in a worship seminar when the speaker paused mid-sentence, pointed his finger at me and said, “Young man, I just want you to know that God’s going to use you. He’s going to use you mightily… to reach young people… you just magnify Jesus in those kids’ eyes until He’s all they can see…”

Since that day: be it children, teens or adults, our hope is to Magnify Jesus that individuals and families will be supernaturally resurrected to be the light God has indented for us to be.

After serving since 1995 as a Children’s and Youth Minister, I am thankful to have served since 2005 here at Calvary Chapel of Joplin.
